With the Eleven Point blown out and the other freestone rivers in Missouri blown out, a couple of friends & I decided to drive down to the White river for an afternoon below Bull Shoals since the generators were off.  We got there and of course two generators came online.  GREAT!  We were annoyed, but we drove over to the golf course side and were surprised we could still wade fine and we were real happy to see how few fishermen were there.  In fact shocked us how few there were.  The fishing was good and the fish were beautifully colored.  We caught nothing but rainbows, though a brown or two would have been nice.  The only surprising thing was once the water came on, john boats came up.  A couple of them routinely went above the legal line.  Oh well.  We caught fish on sow bugs, bloody Marys and egg patterns.  A fun day.

Brian,

Thats a great place to fish when the water is 1-2 units.

The water flows will be ideal for drift and wade fishing the remainder of this month.  Starting first of December expect high generation  should continue thru out the winter.  Streamers along the banks on full sinking lines will be good.  Also, shad patterns fished deep along with SJ Worms, Midges and egg patterns.
